Dave Gregory (XTC) guests on guitar and Mellotron. David had always intended to remix and repackage it. However, his sudden death in November 2021 meant that his plan never came to fruition. In a final act of remembrance by his long-time colleague Rob Aubrey, Big Big Train’s engineer since 1994, David’s wishes have now been fulfilled. Additionally, the album packaging has also been re-designed by Longdon’s friend and collaborator Steve Vantsis. Wild River represented a transitional period for David, both artistically and emotionally. His father, Eric, had passed away in 1994, he had been through a divorce, and he’d auditioned to be the lead singer of Genesis following the departure of Phil Collins. However, after a protracted audition-cum-rehearsal process, he was immensely disappointed to lose out on the role. Which, with hindsight, was a blessing in disguise. Around this time, Dave Gregory was playing a session where he first met David. Between XTC projects, Gregory had been recording a version of the Genesis epic Supper’s Ready and David, a big XTC fan, offered to sing on it, adding, “I really need to do this.” Gregory was astonished at how quickly David recorded the vocal parts: “Soup to nuts in an afternoon and an evening.” Rather than accepting payment for the session, David invited Gregory to play guitar and Mellotron on the work-in-progress Wild River. Gregory recalls, “The Genesis experience galvanised him. He was saying, ‘Look, this is what I can do. And I’m gonna f*cking show you’. That was a huge motivation for him. He felt rejected, so had to work a lot harder.” Rob Aubrey adds, “It still fills me with sadness that he’s gone, but Wild River needed to be made available again as it is such a strong album.” The last word on Wild River goes to Sarah Ewing: “I don’t think it sounds like an album that’s 20 years old; it sounds very immediate and contemporary and that speaks of David’s talent. It’s hard for me to be objective, but I hear the younger David and in that regard it’s a beautiful time capsule.”

Caroline Bonnett of SCNmedia plays keyboards, created loops, engineered, mixed, mastered and, along with Nick, co-produced the album. The album comprises 11 original compositions written and arranged by Nick Fletcher. Each track has it's own character and title but was conceived to be listened to as one whole, hence 'Quadrivium suite'; inspired by the idea of the four noble arts, as mentioned by the philosopher Plato. Hackberry es una banda instrumental de cinco miembros originaria de los Países Bajos, fundada en 2015. New edition of the album from the band of Nad Sylvan (Steve Hackett's Genesis Revisited band) More information: New release of the self-titled album by Unifaun. The Swedish duo of vocalist and instrumentalist Nad Sylvan and keyboard player Bonamici (Christian Thordin) came together after Nad saw the Genesis tribute act The Musical Box perform in London in 2003. A visit to Genesis internet forums saw him introduced to the music of Bonamici and after some discussion, the duo embarked on an album project to "write the songs that Genesis never did". The result was the superb album 'Unifaun'. Originally released in 2008 the record has gained cult status over the ensuing years and put Nad Sylvan on the path to working with the band Agents of Mercy and then to become vocalist with former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett’s band and an acclaimed solo artist.

In the spring of 2021, Ring van Möbius was approached by performer and choreographer Harald Beharie to write the music for his next solo performance. This honourable task started a collaborative process involving various artists with different artistic expressions, culminating in January 2022 with the premiere of “Batty Bwoy” in Dansens Hus in Oslo, Norway. The project was soon nominated for the Norwegian Critics Association Prize 2022. “This album, however, is not the actual soundtrack for the finalized commissioned work itself, rather a reflection of the early visions; spontaneous reactions and a starting point for further collaboration” according to the band, “Being an independent body of work based on our early initial musical ideas, this can be referred to as loosely inspired by, but not limited to, the original concept by Harald Beharie.” A demo recording was soon produced; a recording of said initial ideas, which became a point of reference, taking the material in a certain direction, but also the starting point for this album, taking it in another direction, further developed solely by Ring van Möbius. Hence, emerging from a common musical source material came three similar but different works. Firstly, the demo recordings, secondly the musical outcome of this commissioned work, and thirdly this very album. This is the fully developed Ring van Möbius version, this is “Commissioned Works pt. II: Six Drops Of Poison”.

No sólo es un comentario frecuente, sino que también es el tema principal de un nuevo álbum doble de Edward Reekers titulado "The Liberty Project". ¿Qué es? ¿Una ópera rock, un musical, un álbum conceptual? Sí. Pero llegaremos a eso en un minuto. Entonces, ¿de qué se trata? Imagina que hubiera habido un segundo Big Bang. ¿Habría alterado nuestra evolución o incluso creado un mundo paralelo? Y si es así, ¿cómo sería ese mundo, quiénes serían sus habitantes? "Quería crear una historia dentro de otra historia, así que presenté a Thomas y Catherine, que se enamoran, se separan y vuelven a encontrarse. Con una sociedad convulsa a su alrededor en la que políticos, banqueros y periodistas, entre otros, comentan la situación a la que se enfrentan". Formed in Autumn 97, the band has drawn upon influences as diverse as heavy metal to avant-grade jazz. In 2007, they were joined by American Idol Top 10 finalist, Leslie Hung – who many have compared to a young Ann Wilson. Over the years the band have received acclaim from a multitude of sources but particularly the late John Wetton (King Crimson, UK, Asia). So impressed was Wetton that in 2013, he and the band joined forces and toured across Europe and the US. The same year saw the band nominated for a Breakthrough Artist Award by PROG magazine. District 97 have appeared at some of the world’s leading prog festivals, such as Cruise To The Edge, Rosfest, Summers End as well as supporting Marillion at the Marillion Montreal Weekend. This new release sees the band significantly upping their game in the areas of composition, performance, arrangement, production and sonics. Running the gamut from the relentless thrill ride of the title track to the tender, dynamic ballad ‘Life Cycle’, the album traverses a vast array of themes and musical influences. The songs explore the human experience: unity, division, deceit, obsession, detachment, resilience and transcendence.
